MSDS Solutions Center successfully
introduced the most sophisticated Internet-based virtual
MSDS Management system on the market.
The EH&S market was quick to see the benefits of
this management medium. 80% of their Software clients
would soon switch to an ASP structure.

Over $1 million dollars was
invested into developing MSDS Solutions Center services, so
that they could continue to lead the market in MSDS
and Chemical Management and facilitate a move into ASP
services.
MSDS Solutions Center expanded their client base significantly
into eight different industrial sectors across North
America and Europe.

Based on the on-going success
of Conceptum’s MSDS business practice, MSDS
Solutions was spun-off as a fully autonomous
subsidiary of Groupe Magrit Inc. Its solutions continued
to evolve, and the company quickly became an industry
leader in the MSDS field.
At the time, client/server software
was the focus of the MSDS management market, but MSDS
Solutions identified a new market opportunity;
developing an innovative new service delivery channel
with a hosted architecture – ASP.

on the market to offer Internet and Intranet
access to up-to-date MSDS documents.
The demand for MSDS Software services grew exponentially
as EH&S safety and regulatory issues came to the
forefront of business strategy.

Conceptum’s management
team decided to invest further resources in this promising
market based on positive and encouraging customer feedback.
An MSDS Solutions Center business practice was created.
The team of software developers,
marketers and business developers who collaborated on
the MSDS project became the core members of the new
group, which quickly added a full range of professional
document management services to the original application
– enabling them to offer their clients a complete
chemical management solution.

In response to a request from an important utilities
company, Conceptum Inc. developed its first MSDS management
software application in 1991.

company created was Conceptum Inc., which still exists
