Answers
1. I cannot open a PDF file, even though Acrobat Reader
is installed on my workstation.
This can either
be due to your pop-up blockers not being disabled (pop-up
blockers need to be disabled for the proper use of www.msds.com
website) or it could be due to a Microsoft
Internet Exlorer 5.0 error that happens when their service
pack is not installed. Click on following links for
more information on the latter possibility:

2. Can you find MSDSs for me and send them by email,
fax or regular mail?
Please note that unless you are an eService or eSearch
customer AND you subscribe to
our FastFind service, we do not source, send, email
or fax MSDSs. In addition, our FastFind service would
only involve us sourcing MSDSs and including it in our
clients online applications.
3. I filled out the registration form, but the password
I am typing in is not working.
Passwords are case sensitive. Please double check your
Caps-lock on your keyboard.
Note: The number: 1 is different from
the letter: l (L), and the letter: I (I). These 3 characters
can often be mistaken for each other.
4. It's been over 30 minutes and I still have not
received my email containing my password.
- Spam Filters, please be aware that your Spam Filter
may have blocked the password confirmation email from
reaching you. Please check your e-mails Junk and/or
Bulk folder for your password e-mail.
- If you typed your e-mail address incorrectly, please
sign up again by choosing a different username & include
your correct e-mail address.
- In order to receive future password e-mails, please
contact your local Computer Technician or Help Desk
& ask to have MSDS.com added to your e-mail "Safe
List".
- Please use the "Forgot My Password" feature located
at the top center of our website to have your password
resent to your e-mail address.
5. I have changed my password, and now I cannot login
with either of the passwords.
When you change your password, it can take up to 20
minutes for our servers to synchronize themselves and
have your new password information updated in our system.
You can simply try to login after 20-30 minutes.
6. I tried many search queries without finding my
MSDS.
Sometimes the name that you entered and the name that
we have in our database can differ slightly, causing
the search engine to return no results. Please consult
the "Search Tips" that can be found in the top right
corner of search window. These include main search tips
as well as different characters you can use in order
to broaden your search.
7. I tried using the various special characters for
my search, but still could not find the MSDS I was looking
for. How can I get a copy of this MSDS?
We do have an extensive database of over 3.5 million
MSDSs, but unfortunately it does not yet cover all products
in North America. If you are unable to find the product
you are looking for, please contact the manufacturer
directly in order to get a copy of the MSDS.
8. Will I be charged to use your website?
We have a Free Trial available for our eSearch where
you can perform an unlimited amount of MSDS searches,
and view 5 MSDSs out of those results.
If you require more than 5, there is an
option to purchase various blocks of MSDS viewings to
fit your needs.
9. How do I print the MSDS sheet I am viewing?
If it is a PDF file, use
the print button in Acrobat tool, and not any other
one on your desktop. If it is an HTML file, click on
right button of mouse and choose print option from menu.
If none of these questions
answers your needs, please do not hesitate to contact
Technical
Support directly.
